Dr. Shahinaz Soliman, M.D., is a distinguished medical professional with an impressive academic and career history. Her accomplishments and contributions to the field of medicine are truly remarkable.
Born in Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Soliman nurtured her childhood dreams of becoming a physician and relocating to the United States. She embarked on her journey by earning her medical degree from Ein Shams University Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt, in 1988, a notable achievement at the age of 23. Following her graduation, she completed her Pediatrics residency in 1992.
In pursuit of her aspirations, Dr. Soliman immigrated to the United States in 1992. Soon after, she joined Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California, where she served as an Assistant Professor. During her tenure, she imparted knowledge in subjects such as Cardiovascular Pulmonary Diseases, Geriatrics, and Radiology. Her exceptional teaching skills earned her the title of “Outstanding Faculty of the Year” for seven consecutive years. In 1999, she successfully obtained her US medical certification.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr. Soliman dedicated her efforts to extensive cancer research for patients at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in 1999. The following year, she commenced her residency program in Family Medicine at King Drew Medical Center and was elected as the chief resident for her program. Her graduation in July 2003 was marked by multiple honors. Driven by her passion for art and painting, she excelled in Cosmetic Dermatology during her elective rotations and earned multiple certifications in Botox, filler injections, and laser surgery.
Dr. Soliman currently holds active staff positions at both Torrance Memorial Medical Center (TMMC) and LCM Hospital in Torrance, California. She is an esteemed member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the American Medical Association (AMA).
Since 2003, Dr. Soliman has been the sole shareholder of Soliman Care Family Practice Center, demonstrating her commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services. In 2013, she co-founded Sphinx Medical Technologies Inc., a healthcare technology company with a mission to create software solutions that address the daily challenges faced by doctors, enhance patient satisfaction, and improve access to medical care.
Dr. Soliman’s entrepreneurial spirit also led her to create and own Spare My Hair, a line of hair loss products designed to aid in the treatment of thinning hair, which was launched in March 2015. Furthermore, she co-founded Sexy Wipes Inc. in early 2019, a venture dedicated to developing natural products for the management of female sexual dysfunction and menopausal symptoms.
